mariasugarpova wins french title in a grand style

  According to report reaching us from Paris,we've  just been updated that , Maria Sharapova has  won her second French Open title in three years, after overcoming some shaky serving Saturday to beat fourth-seeded Simona Halep 6-4, 6-7 (5), 6-4 in the final. (Match Highlights)

Sharapova  who has struggled with her serve this week and had 12 double-faults in the final on Court Philippe Chatrier. But she was able to hold off Halep, and hold her serve in the final game, with steady groundstrokes that kept the Romanian on the run.

earlier,She also won the title at Roland Garros in 2012, completing a career Grand Slam. but,She lost in last year's final to Serena Williams.
on the other hands,Halep, who was ranked only 57th heading into last year's French Open, was playing in her first major final,But lost out to Sugarpova.

 The men's final is on Sunday where Rafael Nadal will go for his ninth French Open title against Novak Djokovic.

But while Sharapova has been a star on the tour for a decade now, the 22-year-old Halep has only recently risen up the rankings and will move to No. 3 on Monday.

Ponies, iPads and enough handbags to make Victoria Beckham blush: no, these aren't the contents of Harrods but some of the many gifts bestowed on 12-year-old Chase McKenna.

Like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory's Violet Beauregarde, Chase, and her siblings Mackenzie, seven and Rhys, 14, are given everything they could possibly dream of by doting parents, Kelly and Alan, both 33.

'I like labels: Ralph, Juicy, Gucci,' reveals the 12-year-old, who lives with her family in Bexley, of her lavish wardrobe. 'I don't do Primark!'

Now junior pageant queen Chase and her two siblings are to appear on new Channel 5 documentary, The 12 Year Old Shopaholic and Other Big Spending Kids.
She does, however, think her spending habits are spiralling out of control and says she needs to get a grip.

In it, she shows off her favourite clothes, most of which are by Ralph Lauren and Gucci, as well as her pony, which costs her parents £2,000 a year to maintain.

But while Chase and her penchant for expensive clothes might sound like most parent's worst nightmare, her mother Kelly reveals that Chase is exactly what she hoped she'd be and says she has dressed her in designer gear since birth. 

'I had my kids young and I felt like if I dressed them in designer gear then people would think I was doing an alright job,' she admits.

Unsurprisingly, Chase's demands have grown increasingly lavish - and that's before you get to her impressively large allowance.

'I've already had £150 this week and it’s only Tuesday' smirks the 12-year-old, 'If I ask Dad for something and don't get a yes straight away I give him "The Face".'

And it seems the threat of getting 'The Face' is enough to persuade father Alan to part with just about any sum of money Chase cares to name - on top of her weekly £300 allowance.

'I say: "Oh, Daddy, pleeease?" And he goes: "OK, how much do you want?" and I go: "Can I have £300?" Each time I go higher.'

But of all the presents Chase has been given, the most expensive was her pony - which even her mother said gave her pause for thought.

'We weren't 100 per cent on the horse because it costs £2,000 a year to take care of and we said no to start but Chase really proved herself,' says Kelly.

'She gave up her weekends and mucked out the horse and Alan enjoys the horse too so everyone benefits.'

So how exactly do the young couple fund their prima donna daughter's extravagant spending habits?

'Alan has his own building company and I don't work,' explains Kelly.  'We are useless with money but we're not on benefits. Alan works for it.'

Nevertheless, although the McKenna children do get just about everything their hearts could desire, Kelly says there have been moments when they've struggled with money.

'There was a time a few months ago when we had no work and the kids were as good as gold,' she reveals. 'They didn't ask for anything. Rhys who's only 14 even got a gardening job to help out.'

'People say to me: "Get a grip girl! You've got no carpet and your kids are running around in Ralph Lauren jeans!"'

According to Kelly, her erratic spending habits were inherited from her own mother who also took a cavalier approach to money.

'My mum and dad split up and she had to work two jobs so we didn't have a normal upbringing,' explains Kelly.

'Some days, we would get picked up by Lamborghinis and limousines from school. Some days my mum would be rooting around in the cupboards and others we would be in a posh restaurant. I think she was trying to find a substitute for my dad not being there.'

That, however, hasn't stopped her from following suit. 'My mum always said: "You're not here forever so spend it while you can" and I think she's right.'

But does she worry that Chase, so keen to splash her father's cash, will grow up with the same attitude to money.

Amazingly, Kelly thinks not. 'No,' she insists. 'She's seen our house and she's already said "I don't want to live like this!"' see some of her pics below:

FIFA Rankings, Nigeria Eagles occupies 44th position In The World.

 

Football governing body, FIFA, has released its latest monthly ranking.

According to the latest ranking posted on FIFA website early this morning, Nigeria’s Super Eagles are ranked 44th in the world and 6th in Africa.

This means the coach Stephen Keshi led Eagles will head into the 2014 World Cup tournament starting on 12 June as the lowest ranked team in Group F as all Nigeria’s opponents are ranked above.

South American power house, Argentina are ranked 5th, Bosnia and Herzegovina are in the 21st position while Asian representatives, Iran are ranked 43rd in the world.

The Super Eagles got to 44th in the world and sixth in Africa in the last edition of the ranking.

Nigeria polled a total of 640 points and will be looking at gathering more points to rise up on the log.

FIFA statement informed that results of international friendly games up to May 30 were put into consideration for the ranking, which cuts across 67 friendly matches plus continental qualifiers in CAF (26 matches), the AFC (16) and CONCACAF (3).

The next ranking would be made after the World Cup tournament in Brazil,which ends 13 July

ukraine elects Ukranian millionaire as new president

 Ukraine – Billionaire candy magnate Petro Poroshenko took the oath in Kiev on Saturday to serve as the fifth president of Ukraine and pledged to bring peace and unity to the conflict-torn country as fierce battles that have pushed it to the brink of civil war raged on.

Poroshenko, 48, also boldly declared that he would chart a path toward European integration and would move immediately to sign a free-trade pact with the EU, saying, “The pen is in my hand.”

Poroshenko said in his speech on Saturday that Crimea “is, and will be Ukrainian soil.”After pledging to serve Ukraine and preserve its territorial integrity and unity, the so-called “Chocolate King” billionaire raised the Bulava, the Ukrainian scepter that symbolizes power.

“I am taking this presidential post to preserve and strengthen Ukraine’s unity, to ensure lasting peace and to guarantee reliable security,” Poroshenko said. “I know that peace is the most important thing that Ukrainian people desire now.” in additiion,he affirmed ...“I don't want war…. I don’t want revenge. I want peace,” he said, prompting a standing ovation by Ukrainian officials and dozens of foreign dignitaries.

In a show of support, a delegation from the United States led by Vice President Joe Biden observed Poroshenko’s inauguration. The group also included Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland, senators John McCain, Chris Murphy and Ron Johnson, and U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt.

Ramos launches the i8 Pro tablet; a 8-inch Windows 8 device with just $239 pricetag

What would you say is the best part of owning a wig?I would say the best part of owning a wig is the versatility it offers. I can change my style and look within minutes, which would save a lot of time. As we know there isn’t enough time in the day to get things done.

What are 5 lessons you have learnt from wearing wigs?

1. Wigs offer more protection to the wearer’s natural hair giving the natural hair time to breathe.

2. Wigs are very low maintenance and are not required to be styled as often as a weave.

3. Wigs offer the wearer the option of more volume to their hairstyle e.g my largest unit til date is my 1kg unit which I doubt would have been possible with a weave.

4. I often get asked if I’m scared that someone will one day pull it off my head. Wigs can be secure if you use combs and clips that hold it securely. I use combs personally, and believe me when I say it isn’t going anywhere.

5. Wigs can be addictive! Mainly due to the beauty of their versatility.

When it comes to hair care, we know there are lots of risks involved. What are 3 wig mistakes that women commonly make and what are the remedies? 
Mistake number 1 would be gluing the lace to their forehead. This is a big no no as glue can be very damaging to the hairline.

Mistake number 2 would be the blending of the closure material. I have seen a lot of females with closure bases that do not match their skin tone e.g light bases on dark skin

Mistake number 3 would have to be ill fitting wigs. Wigs can be made to measure so there is no excuse for an ill-fitting bumpy wig ladies!

You said in an interview that you have really thin hair. What regimen do you use to help your hair develop?I have started using a lot of natural oils and products to help my thin hair. I used products such as castor oil and coconut oil that help with thickness and general nourishment of the hair cuticle. I also use Mizani shampoo and conditioner.

What are the 5 top things to consider before buying a wig?

- Quality of the hair
- Volume
- Length
- Colour and
- Fitting

Critics believe women who wear wigs are insecure. What are your thoughts on that?I think those people are closed minded because I think the total opposite! Wigs and hair extensions are a form of additional beauty. If wearing wigs and weaves makes you confident then do it and do it well.

Hmmm! There are a few things planned for the next few months, definitely coming to take Nigeria by storm so Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt be ready!

OMG! Dora Akunyili Loses Battle To Undisclosed Illness!

 According to the news reaching us this morning,Sahara Reporters reported  that,the former Director General of the the NAFDAC and ex minister of Information, Professor Dora Akunyili. The online news agency is quoting a family source.
Dr. Akunyili passed away in an Indian Hospital where she has been receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment.
She was aged 59 and survived by a husband and three children.
Mrs. Dora Akunyili shocked everyone when she appeared at the just concluded National CONFAB looking gaunt and frail.
What a sad loss…Our thoughts and prayers go to the Alunyili family. More details emerging...
