Pope Francis has warned ISIS militants could sneak into Europe under cover of a huge wave of refugees fleeing the conflict in Syria. 
The Pope referred to the risk that ISIS jihadists, who have killed Christians and other minorities in the Middle East, could launch attacks in Europe.
In an interview with a Portuguese Catholic broadcaster, he also said the humanitarian crisis could help reawaken the continent's conscience.

Woman charged after she was found pushing a dead child on a park swing

A Maryland woman found pushing her dead three-year-old son on a park swing has been indicted by a grand jury on charges of child abuse, neglect of a minor, and manslaughter. The district attorney’s office said the woman, 24-year-old Romechia Simms, has been arrested and will be arraigned Monday morning.

9-Guns, 42-Cartridges recovered from armed robbers in FESTAC

Police operatives yesterday recovered nine pump action guns and 42 live ammunition from two fleeing suspected robbers in Amuwo Odofin, Lagos.

EFCC nabbed Fraudster Over Alleged N1.7bn fraud in Lagos

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested a Lagos businessman, Alhaji Mohammed Gobir, for allegedly defrauding foremost outdoor advertising company Afromedia of cash estimated to be N1.7 billion in various currencies.
Gobir was picked up at his Ikoyi home and put in detention.
according to report,“The mega heist allegedly fetched Gobir $3,500,000, N514,457,151.87, $2,102,740 and 51,000 pounds sterling at various times,” The Nation quoted a source in the commission to have said.
“Gobir, a 55–year-old father of two, was picked up by EFCC operatives early Saturday at his Ikoyi residence and is still being interrogated at the Lagos office of the anti-graft agency.

police retrieve £180,000 stolen diamond that Chinese thief had hidden up in her bottom

A Chinese woman was forced to undergo a colonoscopy after she stole a £180,000 diamond and swallowed it.
Despite originally protesting her innocence, the woman, identified as 39-year-old Jiang Xulian, confessed to the theft after a scan revealed it to be lodged in her large intestine.
Doctors armed with a colonoscope and medical pliers carried out the delicate operation at a hospital in Nonthaburi on Sunday.
The woman was accused of stealing the six-carat diamond from a gemstone and jewellery fair in the city.
She was arrested on Thursday night at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport with her alleged accomplice, a Chinese man.
They insisted they were just tourists trying to return home from their holidays, but their story was proved false when the scan revealed the hidden diamond.
The Chinese duo had allegedly switched a fake stone for the real one after asking to inspect it at the jewellery fair, earlier the same day.
They were caught after CCTV images showed their visit to the stand, and were also identified by the dealer at the booth selling the diamond.
Police Col. Mana Tienmaungpak said that the woman confessed to the theft following the scan.
She finally agreed to the operation after being told that the diamond could cause damage to her insides, and nature and laxatives had failed to do the job.
The diamond’s owner identified the stone after it was removed.
If convicted, the pair could face up to three years in prison.
