Strange:Matchmaking now a serious business in Japan,A MEASURE to help singles mingle – but will it work?

Part of our bytes  for today is about Japan,Asian Technology giant who is currently battling with population issue by introducing compulsory match making program for young boys and girls in the area. in the news it was reported that many Japanese local communities are now funding matchmaking events in recent years. They have not done so simply because they want to make people happy and healthy.
its revealed that Since 2011 some Japanese authorities have been involved in this  community matchmaking events called machikon. Machikon  in high-street cafes and restaurants and  small festivals: the streets are closed to traffic, and participants pay a fee of £15 to £35. In return they get unlimited food and drink. The idea according to source,is to get  people  to talk and form relationships.
So far local authority involvement in matchmaking has been primarily through funding by  allocation of  grants to certain organisations or activities to boost birth rates and, in turn, these organisations run the events. According to the Japan Machikon Producers Organisation local government affiliates have organised 59 machikon events since 2012.
according to report,Local government is expected to benefit in the shape of more babies; but they also view such events as a way to help local business and rejuvenate the community. Communities in rural Japan have been suffering as a result of drastic socio-economic change after the economy collapsed in the early 1990s, closing many high street businesses.
According to the Japanese government, intimate relationships are a public concern because they are linked to the issue of the country's declining birthrates since the 1990s. Local authorities are involved in matchmaking because they want to increase Japan's birthrate.but the question now is  will it work?

Ex-Man U Manager to auction vintage wine collection valued at £3m!

Based on iconic byte reaching  icon360.blogspot  this Wednesday,it's reported that former Man Utd Manager is to auction the extensive collection of vintage wines which he assembled during his career to "distract from the intensity and pressure" of managing Manchester United.
According to source,The collection of about 5,000 bottles, along with signed memorabilia, will be sold at auctions starting in May, and has a pre-sale estimated value of £3m,
Almost two thirds of the cellar consists of Domaine de la Romanee-Conti, a French Burgundy which is "in vogue", according to the auction company.
"It's the wine of the moment in terms of demand," said David Elswood. "So hopefully that's going to draw the attention of not just Alex Ferguson fans but wine fans too."
According to Christie's,The cellar spans every year of Ferguson's career with United from 1986 until he retired in 2013. It includes lots from 1999, the year United won a treble of the Premier League, the Champions League and the FA Cup, a feat never previously accomplished and not matched since.
"People keep saying, 'What was the best moment of your life as a manager?' and '99 is without question," Ferguson is quoted as saying in an interview to promote the sale.
Alex Ferguson wine"There was always this thing about my career that I never had won the Champions League, so to win it in the way we did win it was absolutely fantastically special. And it coincided with a vintage; you were talking about Romanee-Conti '99, a really special year. I think we deserved that."
Ferguson said he had taken up wine collecting in 1991 during a visit to France and it developed into a way to relieve the stress of his job.
according to him"Taking an interest in wine allowed me to have an interest outside the game. You have to have outside interests to distract you from the intensity and the pressure you come under as a football manager.
"And all of a sudden, two or three years ago, when I'm going through the portfolio, we realise this has got to be an amazing amount of wine. I retired last year, and I thought this was a good time to sell it."
He also discussed how it became a ritual to treat visiting managers to a glass of his finest, and to accept gift bottles in return.

5 Reasons why most Ghanaians don’t like Ghanaian movies...be the first to know!

The African movie industry is among the biggest movie industries in the world. Nollywood from Nigeria is the 2nd largest movie industry in the world. How come Ghanaian movies can’t make it that far be

In all my growing up in Ghana, according to source I’ve heard people saying countless times their hate for Ghanaian movies. What could be the reason?

Things keep changing in our entertainment industry but the love for our industry is still not something easy to have. Many people complain about Ghanaian movies and its stars. Here are some of the reasons why most Ghanaians prefer foreign movies to Ghanaian movies.

COPY & PASTE (NOT ORIGINAL): Most Ghanaian movies are clear/direct copy and paste version of popular Hollywood/Nollywood movies. This is very bad, most scenes in Ghanaian movies are what we’ve seen in popular Hollywood/Nollywood movies. Sometimes the whole movie is based on a a foreign movie which has been done before in Hollywood or Nollywood but “Ghanalized”. Most Ghanaian movies don’t have original scripts and full of copied scenes. Watching these movies are unpleasant.

BORING: There are no suspense in most Ghanaian movies especially the ones made in Kumasi. I wonder how people can watch hours of Kumawood movies. Their stories are cliche, acting is the worst you could ever see, sound, editing, and everything is BAD! One can easily predict the ending of most Ghanaian movies.

FOREIGN CULTURE USAGE: Most Ghanaian movies don’t depict the Ghanaian culture or things that could happen in Ghana in reality. They mostly copy and display foreign culture and things that don’t or could never happen in Ghana. Movies like Yvonne Nelson’s “House Of Gold”, Shirley Frimpong Manso’s “Perfect Picture” and “Adams Apples” are perfect example of movies depicting foreign culture.

BAD ACTING: An expert in acting and directing told me that most of our celebrated actors won’t even get a role or reach close to a Hollywood movie if they were to give it a shot that is why they fail to reach that far and the truth is he is right, Ghanaian movies are full of by-force and fake actors/actresses. Most of the actors and actress in Ghana and Africa are not the best for the job; some are good but not Hollywood-good.

BAD EDITING AND EFFECTS: One of the things that cost the most in foreign movies are visual effects and editing. Ghanaian movies are full of the worst editing and visual effects a movie could ever come about. Some Kumawood movies have the most terrible effects and sound editing ever. Not to talk of the lousy credits and loud sound effects. The effects and sound in almost every Ghanaian music is terrible.

LOW BUDGET: You can’t blame Ghana movie makers for all these flaws (some of them) as most Ghana movies were produced with small amounts of money. An insider told us that to produce a Kumawood movie with about 3 known faces, you need around GHC20, 000 around $8,000 dollars including advertising, so seems like small money hence the poor results.

checkout 'World's most haunted island' where thousands of plague victims were left to die and mental patients were lobotomised !

When a plague hit Italy thousands of dead bodies and the still-living victims were dumped on the island

Though strange and is  one of world’s scariest places, yet, It is so haunted that for years no tourist has been allowed to set foot on it.But now,  the island of Poveglia, in the Venice lagoon, could be yours as the Italian government is offering it at auction, in a bid to chip away at the country’s mounting public debt.
source revealed that When an outbreak of Bubonic plague hit Italy thousands of dead bodies and the still-living victims were dumped on the island to be buried, burnt or left to rot. such that The island’s macabre reputation stems from its plague pits.
Centuries later, a mental hospital was built there by a doctor who tortured his patients with unnecessary lobotomies.
Driven mad by the ghosts of his victims, he eventually threw himself from the hospital tower, it is claimed.

Venetians are deeply superstitious about the island and see it as purgatory for evil souls. One local saying goes: 'when an evil man dies, he wakes up in Poveglia.'
The Italian government now hope that the island’s unique potential can be exploited by a luxury hotel-they are offering a 99 year lease to redevelop the property.
A further four properties including a 15h century castle and a spectacular monastery will be auctioned off freehold.
The government aims to raise Euro500 million from the sale of around 150 state owned properties.
