To say there's been a lot of anticipation surrounding the release of Katy Perry's third studio album, PRISM — well, that's kind of like saying pumpkins are popular around Halloween.
The pop star has made an enormous "roar" in the months preceding her
October 22 album release, with stunts ranging from a huge shiny gold van
touting the date across the nation, to a slate of listening parties and
social media contests. Given the success of the three singles already
out from the set, plus her impressive guest list of artists (including
Juicy J, Bonnie McKee, Dr. Luke, and others), PRISM seems poised to live up to the hype.

The
day is almost — finally! — here, and fans will be delighted to know
that Perry is planning a major splash for the release day…one that she's
inviting them to join in! The singer will be hosting a release party in
conjunction with ClearChannel's iHeartRadio, at Los Angeles's brand-new
iHeartRadio Theater that day, which will officially open its doors just
for her shindig. Perry will not only perform at the event — officially
dubbed "ClearChannel's iHeartRadio Album Release Party with Katy Perry"
-- she'll field a Q&A session hosted by "X Factor" host Mario Lopez. And, the best part of all, the party will be streamed live online by Yahoo for all her fans to experience in its entirety.
