....beauty secrets for my African Queens, models and beauty pageants them...lol!

Among the  Idomas, Tiv and Efiks, renowned for their culinary expertise, cocoanut rice is one delicacy that sure ranks alongside edikang ikong soup, afia efere, ekpangnkwo etc. It is actually the whitish oil that is made from fresh (raw) coconut meat, is cold-pressed, that used in the rice.  Now, that’s tasty delicious meal.
However, coconut has several other usefulnesses both as an edible product and beauty enhancer.
When it is filtered it retains its natural coconut scent. It is therefore used in our vegetable green curry or as an ingredient relegated to the shelves of the local health food store.
Additionally, it is rich in natural micronutrients, but is more expensive than refined coconut oil. However, coconut oil is best consumed in moderation, in its unprocessed form. Consuming it in a totally unrefined state is very necessary because when refined it could include processes such as bleaching or deodorizing, it may affect the liver.
Though long used by Asian women for beauty and health, it was rarely considered for these purposes by the Western world: They never thought coconut oil could be put on the face as a beauty product.
Not anymore.
Now, all across Europe, coconut oil is the in-thing beauty product, a must for models and pageants.
How else would have achieved such glowing, shiny-hair without the natural assistance that comes from coconut oil? Hardly. Today and in most beauty parlours coconut oil dots the shelves.
They are used as a nourishing face cream, repairing leave-in conditioner or beachy-scented body moisturizer. That's just the tip of the iceberg: It's actually beneficial in raising metabolism and boosting immunity, too.
To apply on your face, just use as you would your normal moisturizer. True, at first it tends to have a greasier consistency, eventually though it's fantastic at absorbing quickly into skin. A spoonful is enough to hydrate your entire body; swap it in for your current lotion.
It is used to smooth the skin especially after having eczema, just rub coconut oil on your skin to soothe it.
Coconut oil makes a great hair conditioner that can tame that awkward dry/falling out stage your hair goes through after pregnancy.
Coconut oil contains lauric acid, a powerful anti-microbial fatty acid that protects the immune system of the foetus and newborn. Expectant mothers can ingest a couple spoonfuls a day to boost their immune function.
Add several tablespoons of coconut oil to your bathwater for added moisture to your skin. A few drops of lavender essential oil will also make the bathwater soothing and relaxing. Rub the oil into your skin to prevent stretch marks and itchy skin associated with a growing baby belly.
Take a spoonful to help with heartburn, acid reflux or indigestion. Take coconut oil to reduce or eliminate headaches and migraines. Mix with a drop of lavender oil to soothe pregnancy-induced haemorrhoids....i believe this is helpful...see you again next time!.....
