Keshi Submits Eagle's list for World Cup.

Briefing newsmen yesterday at the Glass House after a marathon meeting between the technical committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the Super Eagles head coach, Stephen Keshi, a member of the technical committee, Mr Paul Bassey said the committee decided to postpone the release of the list till next week to allow more consultation.
Speaking earlier, Keshi  disclosed that he had forwarded a 37-man list from which he will submit his provisional 30-man squad to FIFA May 10. and  “I have about 37 players on my list from which I will take 30 players on the 10th of May. This is what FIFA needs and I can’t do more than that,” Keshi stated.
According to Eagle's chief, “If we release this list in a hurry, it will look as if we are heating up the polity. But, be assured that when it is ready, we will give it to the media.
In addition,Bassey contended that the list, being circulated in certain sections of the media in the last one week, did not emanate from the NFF or Keshi. He said the list could only be authentic when it came from the Technical Committee of the federation or the Super Eagles’ Head Coach.
The Technical Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation on Tuesday postponed by one week the release of the much awaited Super Eagles list due to the fact that“Most European leagues will end in about three weeks from now and Keshi is still studying some players, the number to invite and who to invite. For instance, we have read that Austin Ejide has an injury. So, Keshi has to consult to know how serious it is.” before the the release..follow this link for more on that...
