The good news to internet users in Africa, especially South African is that,Taxi commuters will soon be able to update their Facebook status free while travelling to work thanks to Wi-Taxi - a free Wi-Fi service.this development was initiated in South Africa by the The council's CEO
, Nkululeko Buthelezi,
, Nkululeko Buthelezi,
when asked on his reasons for doing this yesterday, the CEO revealed that the goal was to lure motorists back into taxis."[Taxis] are cheaper and commuters don't have to worry about petrol or tolls," he said.
Buthelezi said taxi users will have to register their devices to use the Wi-Fi. They will then get a limited number of megabytes with which to surf the net, but can get more by interacting with adverts.
CEO of Wi-Taxi Brian Mdluli could not be reached for comment yesterday tho, but we're expecting to bring more details once we're able to reach him
