Father-of-one Ken Saunders, 50 (centre), from Brinkworth, Wiltshire, said he wrote the note (right), which praised single mother Samantha Welch (left) as a 'credit to her generation', after watching her look after her three-year-old son Rylan. Mr Saunders, a project manager for the NHS, handed the 23-year-old mother the small, folded note and money as he got off the train, which was travelling from Birmingham New Street to Plymouth, at Bristol Parkway last Thursday. The note said: 'Have a drink on me. You are a credit to your generation, polite and teaching the little boy good manners.' He described Miss Welch as a 'great role model' and said he had been 'overwhelmed' by the huge response to his random act of kindness.Uhn!....isn't that awesome?....
