opener
Fashion Month has officially wrapped, and we couldn’t be more inspired. While spring is typically characterized by minimal makeup and no-fuss hair for those in Europe Asia and America, this season the pros upped the ante. Bold beauty made a major comeback in the form of bright colors, sophisticated makeup, structural updos, and loads of whimsy — and we ate it up, with whipped cream on top...and Since it's impossible to go through every single look we adored, we decided to narrow it down to a few standout creations by our favorite hair and makeup pros. So we gave credit where it's due, featuring the best looks they've conjured up. From New York to Paris, click through to see how they worked their magic
.

The Pro: Hairstylist Odile Gilbert

Gilbert is known for dreamy, ethereal hairstyles, and the ones at Rodarte were no different. She blew the hair straight and crowned some of the girls with metal flowers for a gothic-princess vibe.

Over at Suno (the show actually took place on Gilbert's birthday!) it was all about gym hair gone chic. Gilbert French-braided the hair away from the scalp, so that it turned into a deconstructed chignon. She finished by slipping on an elastic headband, giving the typically romantic style a slight edge.

The Pro: Makeup Artist Tom Pecheux
For Pecheux, makeup is all about enhancing natural beauty. So it's no surprise that the look at Moschino was inspired by '90s supermodels. With subtle contouring, shimmering shadows, and sexy cat-eye flicks, every model in the show looked gorgeous and glowing.

"Enhancing natural beauty" doesn't necessarily mean no-makeup makeup. At Chanel, Pecheux took a lovely periwinkle shade and smoked it out across the eyes. A "makeup mask" with bold brows? Yes, please.

The Pro: Hairstylist Sam McKnight
If there's anyone who loves a throwback moment with a twist, it's McKnight. The victory rolls at Dries van Noten were a modern interpretation of '40s hair, complete with a woke-up-like-this texture for a cool-girl, rockabilly look.

The Pro: Makeup Artist Pat McGrath
There isn't a bold color McGrath doesn't like, which is why her eye-makeup look at Diane von Furstenberg was such a winner. She encircled the eyes with gorgeous blue and green shadows, inspired by — what else? — "butterfly wings."

But Prada was where McGrath really outdid herself. She painted the lips yellow-gold for an impactful metallic sheen. If you want to know what makeup will look like in the future, this is it.
