Céline Dion loses brother to cancer two days after husband’s death

René Angélil's funeral will be held at the church where he married Celine Dion.
The 73-year-old music manager's memorial will take place on January 22 at the Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal.
PEOPLE reports that his obituary reads: ''According to his final wishes, his funeral will be held at Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal, where 21 years ago, he chose to marry the one who will remain as the great love of his life, the artist for which he had the most respect, the woman who gave him light and happiness until his very last breath.''
René, who acted as a mentor and manager to Celine, had been battling throat cancer since 2013 and his family have encouraged donations to be made to a cancer charity.
The obituary continued: ''The family invites all those who would like to make a contribution to make a donation to the Azar-Angelil Research Chair for ORL Cancer.''

René and Celine have 14-year-old son, René, and five-year-old fraternal twins Eddy and Nelson together while he also has three grown up children from a previous relationship - Anne-Marie, Patrick and Jean-Pierre.
Celine took a break from her residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace Las Vegas Hotel and Casino last year when René's illness worsened, but returned to the stage in August.

She previously revealed it was her spirituality that has helped her to cope during her spouse's health struggles.
on the other hands reports from Montreal Canada has it that,,Daniel Dion, the brother of Canadian singer Céline Dion, has died of cancer at age 59.
The death was announced two days after Céline Dion’s husband, René Angélil, died at age 73 after a long battle with throat cancer.
A news release from one of Céline Dion’s publicists says Daniel was the eighth of 14 Dion children and a father of two.
The release says he died Saturday morning in a palliative care residence outside Montreal.
A viewing will take place next Saturday, the day after Angelil’s funeral is set to take place in Montreal.
