The city of Oakland, California is not in harmony with one of its historic churches.
The West Oakland Pleasant Grove Baptist Church recently received a letter from the city threatening to fine the church a $3,500 nuisance fee, and $500 daily, if its gospel choir doesn't quiet down during its practices, according to SFist.
"[This] activity may constitute a public nuisance due to its impact to the use and quiet enjoyment of the surrounding community’s property,” the city's letter states.
The Pleasant Grove congregation said it never received any prior warnings from the city and can't understand how the church's choir could now be seen as a nuisance after so many decades

Lamar Odom is fighting for his life after being found unconscious at Love Ranch South in Nevada on Tuesday.
After the news broke, Khloé Kardashian, Kris Jenner, and Kim Kardashian West flew out to be by his side. Kylie Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian also traveled to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas as soon as they could to show their support for their former brother-in-law.
Reports say the 35-year-old's condition is getting worse, and that he's had several strokes and suffered from organ failure since being admitted.
On Thursday, out of respect for the ailing athlete, the Kardashian-Jenner brood has collectively decided to take a break from posting on the family apps during this trying time, saying in a statement:
"As a family, we've decided to hold off on publishing content across our apps while we continue to support and pray for Lamar. Thank you for your kindness and understanding during this difficult time."

This week a 2-year-old in South Carolina found a gun in the back seat of the car he was riding in and accidentally shot his grandmother, who was sitting in the passenger seat. This type of thing happens from time to time: a little kid finds a gun, fires it, and hurts or kills himself or someone else. These cases rarely bubble up to the national level except when someone, like a parent, ends up dead.
But cases like this happen a lot more frequently than you might think. After spending a few hours sifting through news reports, I've found at least 43 instances this year of somebody being shot by a toddler 3 or younger. In 31 of those 43 cases, a toddler found a gun and shot himself or herself.

Recently, BET Network announced they were doing a new talent competition reality show with Kelly Rowland — called Chasing Destiny — where the singer would search the US for the next big girl group, kind of like Destiny's Child!
The only problem?!
Beyonce's estranged father Mathew Knowles claims he had that idea first!
According to DailyMail, the 63-year-old produced a program called Breaking From Above in 2011 that had the same exact premise as the one Miz Rowland is hosting!
An insider exclaimed :
"Mathew Knowles hit the roof when he heard about the concept for the show, which he thinks is a direct rip-off of an unsuccessful attempt at a similar concept he tried to craft after his superstar daughter gave him the pink slip in 2011."

The program was then brought to Teen Nick in 2012, but viewership wasn't any better.

Sources at the hospital tell us doctors are now saying Lamar has a 50/50 chance of surviving after enduring multiple medical problems ... the apparent result of complications from drug use.
Our sources say doctors are saying 4 of Lamar's organs, including his kidneys, are failing. As we reported, he's had a series of strokes in the hospital and has heart problems as well.
The doctors are saying with each failing organ the chances of survival go down significantly.
We're also told doctors are having trouble determining the extent of any brain damage because the organ issues make it difficult to test and get an accurate reading on brain function.

If there's one celeb who's known for keeping her look consistent, it's Ariana Grande. The songstress' cat-eye and high ponytail have long been her signatures, on- and offstage. But recently, Grande has taken to Instagram to unveil a few changes to her usual beauty repertoire. Just last month, she posted an image of her natural curls and yesterday she went a step (way) farther, posting a snapshot of herself with platinum-blonde locks.
Grande has been promoting her new single "Focus," which will drop October 30, on her social media accounts. She put up a very pixelated version of the art for her single three days ago, posting progressively less pixelated renditions of the same image until it became in focus (we see what you did there, Ariana). The final image went up yesterday, and revealed a portrait of Grande with her usual cat-eye and pony — but this time with a head of thick, platinum-blonde hair.
We're surprised that Grande would take the plunge and bleach her strands. The star has been very open about her hair damage after years of dyeing it red for her Nickelodeon show, so it's more than likely not a real dye job — perhaps it's even a wig. Nevertheless, we're digging this surprising hair switch for the singer..

Internet users have been warned to protect themselves against cyber attacks after hackers steal £20millions from UK bank accounts.
The National Crime Agency (NCA) said a virus is being used by cyber criminals to harvest online banking details and gain access to accounts across the country.According to report,Dridex malware has been developed by technically skilled cyber criminals, with UK losses estimated to run to £20 million.
At least one 'significant arrest' has already been made, after thousands of UK computers were thought to have been affected.
