7 Radamel Falcao (Monaco)

Columbian goal machine, Radamel Falcao, has an incredible goal scoring record in his career so far, scoring 72 in 87 for FC Porto and 70 in 91 for previous club, Atlético Madrid. Despite being currently sidelined for new club, AS Monaca, he has amounted 11 in 19 and look set to keep that stunning record on track. On top of this he is one of the most expensive strikers in world football with two very heft transfers for €40 million and €60 million to Atlético Madrid and AS Monaco, respectively.

6 Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Paris Saint Germain)

Zlatan
This list is showing Paris Saint-Germain in a very lucky light, as Swedish striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, is the second on the list for PSG. One of the highest paid players in the game, Ibrahimovic is also one of the most naturally talented, and he has hit some of the form of his life with French champions, PSG, scoring some magnificent goals along the way. Whilst there are more prolific goal scorers in the game than ‘Ibra’, his ability to create chances and make something happen out of nothing gets him a chance on the most lethal strikers list. Ibra has netted 25 goals with 11 assists this season.

5 Wayne Rooney (Manchester United)

Soccer - Barclays Premier League - Manchester United v Manchester City - Old Trafford

Although Manchester United pre-Madonna, Wayne Rooney, has had his ups and downs in recent years, he has been one of United’s only sparks in a somewhat disappointing season for the Red Devils and is still undoubtedly one of the best strikers in the world. Although he hasn’t been prolific in front of goal this year, his work off the ball and in assisting others is second to none in the league. Rooney has managed 17 goals and 14 assists this season.

#4 Robert Lewandowski (Borussia Dortmund)

Lewandowski

Fromer German Bundesliga Champions, Borussia Dortmund, will be sad to see star striker, Robert Lewandowski, leave to current champions, Bayern Munich, on a free transfer at the end of the season, as he has been one of the world’s top striker since joining Dortmund in 2010. During his time with the side, he has netted 96 goals in 169 games. Lewandowski is the definition of an out-and-out striker, as he possesses ability in the air, with his feet and above all, his movement is up there with the best. He has scored a massive 26 goals this season for Dortmund.

3 Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)

aguero
Manchester City’s star striker, Sergio Aguero, provided the Premier League with arguably its greatest ever moment in history, as he sealed a late come back on the final day of the 2011-2012 season to win the Sky Blues their first ever Premier League title. The Argentinian striker is another product of Atlético Madrid, who seem to churn out one star striker every few years without fail, and he has scored 26 goals in 25 games this season.

2 Diego Costa (Atletico Madrid)

DiegoCosta
Atlético Madrid’s bulkier version of Luis Suarez, Diego Costa, is one of Europe’s most sought after players, if not the most. Having scored 20 goals for the Spanish side last season and having netted 27 in 35 this campaign, the Brazilian-born new Spanish international puts himself in this list at number 2.

1 Luis Suarez (Liverpool)

striker, Luis Suarez, is on the form of his career with Liverpool at present and is quickly establishing himself as one of the top 3 or 4 players in world football, according to many football fans. Suarez’ low centre of gravity, close control, determination and ability in the tight spaces make him a nightmare for defenders, particularly Branislav Ivanovic, who has the scars to prove it. He has scored an unbelievable 29 goals for Liverpool this season with 12 assists.
