It was the biggest concert organized in Goma! This Sunday was the "Peace One Day event" and for this 2014 edition,the American star Akon, was there! The Senegalese artist is still very active on the continent where he was born, and he has decided to share the same stage as other African artists on this special day!
For this occasion, more than 60 000 people were in the Goma airport to participate and to celebrate the peace between the population. It’s a big step which enabled to mix people from different places and for the occasion, a lot of artists brought their own message of peace. Just like Akon who call others artists from the African diaspora to support the African development.
“I am African. My mother, My father, they were born in Africa. All my family is in Africa (…) My foundation does a lot for the children, the education and the heatlh in Africa. And we found few ways to help the community” said Akon.
This event was the moment to see on stage performances by Bety Darba, Ives Ndagano and Akon for this peace movement.
