Two police officers condemned for taking ‘selfie’ pictures at the Shoreham air crash site where 11 people died have resigned.
this is because,An ‘offensive’ video clip filmed by the two officers was being investigated by Sussex Police after they sent it to a shocked colleague.
And last night, the force confirmed the two men, aged 23 and 24, had
left the force.
Chief Constable Giles York said the men had ‘failed to show compassion’ for the victims and described their actions as ‘inexplicable’.
In addition,A spokesman said;‘The Chief Constable of Sussex Police has received a recommendation from Assistant Chief Constable Robin Smith that two probationary police officers, investigated in relation to their inappropriate behaviour following the tragic Shoreham air crash, should be dismissed.
‘The Brighton-based officers, aged 23 and 24, appeared before Assistant Chief Constable Robin Smith on 30 September.
‘He assessed the evidence and submitted a detailed report to the Chief Constable this week.
This seems a bit drastic for them maybe, everyone make errors of judgment at their age. They'll struggle to find work now anywhere!
