Police in Colorado Springs have captured the shooter who opened fire at a Planned Parenthood clinic, killing at least three people and injuring five officers and four civilians. The gunman has been identified as Robert Lewis Dear, 59(center). The three people killed included one police officer and two civilians, with Colorado Springs Mayor John Suthers saying Friday evening; 'We mourn the loss of two civilian victims, we mourn the loss of a very brave police officer.' The officer was identified as 44-year-old Garrett Swasey, a six-year veteran of the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs police force, part-time pastor and a married father of two (left with children and wife Rachel). Officers and firefighters were called to 3480 Centennial Boulevard after getting 911 calls about shots fired shortly before noon on Friday. They spent five hours inside the building, exchanging fire with the gunman and evacuating civilians (right) before managing to capture him alive.(dailymail)
