Chicago rapper King Louie has reportedly been shot in the head. The rapper, whose real name is Louis Johnson Jr, was shot around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
His manager confirmed the tragic news to a reporter at the Chicago Sun-Times
An unidentified gunman came up to his vehicle, shot him in the left side of the head, and fled the scene. The 27-year-old was rushed to Advocate Christ Medical Center, and
thankfully he is in stable condition and “awake and talking,” according to his manager.
Louie, who also goes by King L, is known as the Chicago drill rapper often cited for creating the terms “Chiraq” and “Drillinois.” Recently, King Louie had made headlines after saying, “Fuck Spike Lee,” for the filmmaker’s Chi-Raq movie. King Louie worked with Kanye West, and appeared on the “Yeezus” track “Send It Up.”
