[a must read!] a true life story of How a drug addict found freedom

.

It was a glorious morning as our team met outside on the front patio of Hostel Bukou in Costa Rica.
Three of the girls on our team had a 10 am appointment on campus with someone they met on Friday, so I felt a little rushed as we began opening the Word and started teaching through Galatians 5.
We were in the midst of talking about, “What God has freed us from? And what has He has freed us to?” when a man from the busy street below came up to the patio and interrupted our study.
My first reaction to the man named “Jonathan” was not very positive. He asked if anyone spoke Spanish and Joseph, who was sitting next to me, began to talk with him. He shared that he was a drug addict and that he needed about $8 from us to buy a bus ticket to a nearby city where a drug rehab center was.

My response to his need was, that’s too much money to give to him and how do we know if his story is true?Joseph continued to talk with him and the Holy Spirit began to talk with me. My heart softened and asked Jonathan to sit down where I was sitting and told him we wanted to pray for him. Two of us laid our hands on him and began to pray. As we prayed Jonathan broke down and began to cry. Joseph finished our time of prayer in Spanish.
From left to right: Dr. Gordon Wilson, professor of Biology at New Saint Andrews College (standing), Joseph Roberts, "Jonathan" and Ralph Cooley.

As I sat next to Jonathan with 13 of us sitting around him, I explained to him what we were just talking about. “It is for Freedom that Christ has set us free…” And that God wanted to set him free of this addiction that he was in bondage to. I asked him if he would die tonight where would he spend eternity and his immediate response was, “HELL.”
I went on to tell Jonathan that God loved him and wanted him to come into a personal relationship with Him. I then asked Joseph to read though the Spanish, “Knowing God Personally” booklet. As he went though the booklet, page-by-page, I could see the Spirit of God drawing him, calling him and convicting him. Everyone was praying and many of us were in tears as we watched a broken, addicted, soul be drawn by God’s love.
Near the end of the booklet Joseph asked if Jonathan wanted to put his trust in Christ for salvation and he said, “Si.” Then Jonathan asked Joseph to lead him in prayer, and he did. We all witnessed the power of God for salvation and right in front us we saw Jesus set the enslaved, “yoked” man set free!
We were all overcome by the mercy, grace and love of God! My plan for our morning lesson was to teach about the freedom that Christ offers and God’s plan was to, “Set the prisoner free.” a lesson I will never forget.
We spent another 30 minutes going through the wonderful promises of God, about eternal life, how all our sins are forgiven and how Jesus will never leave us or forsake us. Then I shared that he never had to asked Jesus into his life ever again but he could thank Jesus every day for coming into his life and for the great salvation that he has been given.
“Would you like to thank God now for what He has done?” I asked. He did and he began to pray out loud. He prayed in Spanish and so later on I asked Joseph what he prayed. Joseph said, “He thanked God for all that He had done for him, for forgiveness of his sins and eternal life. He also asked God for His strength to be free from his addiction. Then lastly he thanked God for his addiction, because it was because of his addiction that he met us.” (I was in tears again.)
Please pray for Jonathan. We gave him a Spanish Bible, shared how important it is to read His Word and to find good fellowship in a church. We also gave him more than what he needed for the bus and sent him on his way.
And that was just the beginning! The rest of our day was filled with almost non-stop Gospel conversations with students at the University of Costa Rica.

[Comedy Scene]...Micheal jackson in India?.. a must watch video!

over my dead body i will never marry a celebrity-Zynell Zuh vowed!

Different people with different choice in life- after all, we all have freedom of choice, you know!... ACTUALLY I'M NOT THE ONE, its just that i felt some how when this new came to me;Ordinarily, it should be easy for two  to date and probably even get married since both of them share the limelight and understand the demands of the job. but then, that doesnt mean i should vow never to marry a celebrity...yes- naw!...what of if that's what God want for me?...
well the reason for all these is because some people has vowed never to get marry to celebs no matter what!!! ..I think this is Based on some reasons best known to her....
Acording to her,...i mean[ the person whose story you are about to explore] she said“I don’t see myself dating or getting married to a celebrity because it usually doesn’t work. First of all, the possibility that he will not have enough time for me is 90 percent true. Secondly, I cannot stand competing with different womenn who will definitely want my man for themselves. trying to break it down she asserted“I can’t date a musician, an actor, a TV presenter or any popular person because I am 100 percent sure it would not work no matter how hard I try. In fact, I have tried my best not to fall for any celebrity no matter how handsome he looks” Zynell told Showbiz on Monday.

Known for her performance in movies such as “Adams Apple”, “Seduction”, “Single Sex”, “Deadline”, “Scam”, “The Battle”, “Wannabe” and “Living Ghost”, the 28-year old actress said she would rather date an ordinary person who is not popular.

Explaining why she would choose ordinary person to a celebrity, Zynell said with that, she can be assured of 100 percent attention and full commitment.

“People are always looking for negative stories about a celebrity wife or husband so if my man is not popular, no one will notice him. But once he is popular, he has no private life and he is exposed out there” she said.

According to Zynell who just produced her own movie “When Loves Comes Around” featuring Jim Iyke, Prince David Osei, Confidence and herself, she has read about celebrities whose marriages never materialised no matter how many years they spent together.

Asked if she was jealous, Zynell replied: “I think I am the most jealous woman on earth. I need my man to give me all the attention in the world.”
..well you've just heard her so be the judge and tell us your personal view about this in the space below.... see the rest of the story here...

Maazi Keshi,Biko take Uche to world cup...Clemens Westerhof Pleads With Keshi!

Former Super Eagles coach Clemens Westerhof  is having a serious sleepless night over Nigerian striker Uche absence from the squad, report has it that the former coach decide to waded in on the ongoing arguments whether or not Stephen Keshi should take Ikechukwu Uche to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
according to source,Westerhof who helped qualify Nigeria to its first ever World Cup appearance at the 1994 tournament in USA has praised Keshi for the effort he has put into the team.
Speaking on the possible Nigerian players who could light up the World Cup,he said a “terrific player in Spain”among others adding “yes” when asked if he meant Ikechukwu Uche.
Keshi is believed to have sworn not to ever play Ik Uche, after claiming that the player goes against the coach’s instructions and sabotages the team.

“It is bad if Uche behaved like that. If a player did that to me off he goes, I tell you. But sometimes a coach is a father to the whole team” Westerhof was quoted as saying.
He further added that Nigeria has the potential to reach the semifinal of the World Cup if “they make good selection and prepare the team very well.”
