Rice, who was cut from the Baltimore Ravens and suspended indefinitely from playing for the NFL after the video was released, went to the game at New Rochelle High School in southeastern New York with his wife and daughter.
He was also accompanied by his mother and former classmates as he watched from the sidelines, according to multiple news reports.

saying,"Ray is a part of our family and a part of this program, and that's why I'm very happy that he's here today," DiRienzo said. "He made a mistake — and he made a very terrible mistake — but I know the character of the man, and he will rise from this. The mistake that he made will be erased by the good deeds that he will continue to do."
DiRienzo had earlier threatened to resign if the school removed Rice's high school jersey from the gymnasium, a request from the central office of the City School District of New Rochelle, Talk of the Sound, a New Rochelle blog, reported. When asked later for a comment about the threat, DiRienzo declined to comment to USA Today.
