Fried Maple Leaves Are Fall Specialty In Japan — And The Word Is They Taste Great! Find Out How They're Made HERE!

Fried Leaves
It's fall here in the northern hemisphere, which means autumnal traditions are well on their way.
We've got Halloween at the end of the month, jack-o-lanterns to carve, and pumpkin spice lattes to drink.
But perhaps the best fall treat is one we just learned about: fried maple leaves!
Minoh, Osaka, is a Japanese city known for its maple leaves, and now that they're turning brown, they're ripe for the eating.
Well actually, these edible snacks aren't just picked off the ground and plopped in a deep frier.
The real process sees leaves being picked and left in a salt barrel for an entire year so that they are nice and salty before they get in their 20-minute oil bath.
We think they sound great, so we'd definitely give 'em a try if we could!
Happy Autumn!!!
