terrible situation!!! Three people killed and another five injured including two children as Hurricane Gonzalo batters Britain

Up to 10,000 passengers were delayed at Heathrow today after airport chiefs cancelled 110 flights, while pilots struggled to land at Leeds Bradford Airport (centre). One woman was crushed to death by a tree in Kensington, central London (bottom right) while a 21-year-old driver had a lucky escape after his car plunged into a river in Cambridgeshire following a crash with a lorry (top right).
Another man died in Essex when a van he was repairing fell on him after a strong gust of wind, while another 63-year-old man was killed when his car hit a bridge in Merseyside. Huge waves were pictured battering the shore in Blackpool (top left) and visitors to the city struggled to walk upright (bottom left) as winds of up to 108mph tore across the British coast. More bad weather is forecast for this evening, with delays on trains and roads likely.(Dailymail)
