The Hanging Gate in Chapel-en-le-Frith in the Peak District attracts hundreds of curious diners every year with its dazzling display of lights and baubles worth an estimated £25,000
. It took 8,000 metres of wire, 40,000 staples and three waiters three weeks to finish decorating the pub's dining rooms which are all decked out in different themes. With the 170-seat facility fully booked from Monday until Christmas, the pub is looking forward to its busiest season yet.
While most come to admire the decorations, some have been known to be eaten by children or be stolen
