The 50 Rupee note issued between 1968 and 1973, which is only worth about £2.50, went under the hammer at an auction house in Dorset. Secretly hidden in the trees behind the monarch's face is the word sex - which can be read clearly if the note is turned on its side. Auctioneer Timothy Medhurst from Duke's Auctioneers, said it is not known who designed the message into the note, but it could have been done by pro-independence printers.
