From the WISE event (World Innovation Summit on Education) in Qatar Doha where she was an invited guest speaker alongside former Australia Prime Minister, Julia Gillard, Omotola and her team jetted into the UK for the MVISA Awards night at the ICC conference centre in Birmingham United Kingdom.
As Nollywood turned 20, seasoned actress and one of the pioneers of Nollywood was honoured with the most prestigious award of the Night at the 7th Birmingham International Film Festival’s MVISA Award hosted by Actor, Chukky Venn and Actress, Lorna Laidlaw.
Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde whose acting career started in 1995 and has taken Nollywood to lofty heights internationally was awarded the EBONY VANGUARD AWARD in the presence of an array of British leading stars, veteran actors and filmmakers.
