This is a new development coming from CALIFORNIA as it has now become obvious that star singer Madonna is to try her hand at directing films once again, with a film adaptation of Rebecca Walker’s novel Ade
A Love Story see picture below.
based on the story line for the movie, its made clear that Rebecca’s novel is based on personal experience, and tells the story of a college student who falls in love with a young Swahili man named Ade, living on a paradise island off the coast of Kenya. They plan to marry and live a simple life together but are caught in the middle of a civil war, which threatens to tear them apart.
The film will be produced by Bruce Cohen, who shared a Best Picture Oscar for American Beauty and more recently produced award-winning films Milk and Silver Linings Playbook. Madonna and the producers are set to appoint a screenwriter to adapt the book. Rebecca Walker is the daughter of Alice Walker, author of The Colour Purple. Madonna, who was previously married to filmmaker Guy Ritchie, also directed an indie comedy, Filth And Wisdom, in 2008.
