FAST RISING STAR! MEET DJ MIXI SOUTH AFRICA’S FEMALE DJ ON THE WHEEL OF STEEL!

Mixi is a radio host in one of the top stations in S.A. She is also a resident DJ on the iMix every Thursday afternoon, and presents a more chilled out show on Sunday nights. Aside from her on air work Mixi has also established herself as a DJ, MC and brand ambassador.
Night Funk has been running for almost 5 years and was created by Mixi when she was approached to take over Friday nights. Arguably the biggest dance show in Cape Town in this time slot, one can expect to hear everything from the latest party anthems and commercial hits to more big room tracks, essential house and local tracks as well as the deeper stuff and even a bit of hip hop

As a DJ, Mixi can rock almost any crowd. Since becoming a presenter on campus radio at the age of 16 and then starting out as a DJ at clubs in Stellenbosch when she turned 18, Mixi’s music knowledge and ability has thoroughly developed via a commercial and radio hits background to a passion for the more banging festival anthems.

However, this girl has a huge love for the deeper sounds and will take any opportunity to play her tech house favourites. Heading into her tenth year of DJing, Mixi has had the opportunity to share lineups and play alongside Dean FUEL, Gareth Cliff, Ready D, GoodLuck, Tyrone Paulsen, Lady Lea, Ryan Dent, Stephanie Be, Jimmy Nevis, Vanessa Holliday and more.
Now in her 12th year working in radio, Mixi has met and interviewed countless stars and influentials. During her time at campus radio, she had the opportunity to MC some of the biggest events and shows in Stellenbosch providing her with endless experience to address a large crowd.
Being given a DJ residency at Denim & Diamonds ahead of her first year at varsity, Mixi went on to play at various clubs often playing two to three nights a week.
More than a decade later, Mixi still loves the industry she is in more than ever and continues to seek greater opportunities, as a DJ and MC
