WARNING: Graphic content. Daughter releases heartbreaking photo of her father fighting for life after being beaten by a burglar

Help me find the monsters that did this to my father
The family of Tommy Ward, 80, have called for help in finding the 'monsters' who savagely beat the ex-miner and stole his £30,000 life savings during a raid at his home in Maltby, South Yorkshire. Great-grandfather Mr Ward is fighting for his life in hospital (right) after being left with a fractured skull, broken jaw, ribs and finger and a head wound by thugs who raided his home earlier this month. The father-of-four, who did National Service with the Norfolk Regiment and the Northumberland Fusiliers, initially had just a 25 per cent chance of survival following a bleed on his brain. He has now 'improved slightly', police say, but remains in a critical condition. Heartbreaking pictures show the extent of his horrific injuries, which also left him needing a six-hour operation to staple together a wound which stretched from ear-to-ear. His daughter Jackie Perry, 52, (with her father, left) has now condemned the assault as 'pure evil'.
