When you're as splendid and as handsome as David Beckham, and well known worldwide, you don't just retire from playing soccer and ride off into the sunset..naaa! — you use what you've been given for an on-screen career!
reflecting on the interview with The Times in London this weekend, David discussed his next career move as his long period of soccer stardom comes to a close. And, as it turns out, he wants to act!
explaining to the paper,he said
"I am very aware that many sportsmen and other celebrities have turned their hand to acting and failed. I know that it is a tough profession, where you need a huge amount of skill and discipline, and I wouldn't want to push myself forward too soon, without learning more about it, and doing a lot more practice."
Whoa — sounds like he's taking this a bit more seriously than just a cameo part here and there on a show or movie!!
It's important to remember, of course, that Beckham has acted before; he had a cameo in the recently released film The Man From U.N.C.L.E., as well as a guest appearance on a sketch for the show Sports Relief, so he's not brand new to the industry.
He said of his success so far:
"But what I have done so far, I have loved. I can deal with most things. I am a well-known person, so I have got used to criticism."
He's also going to be featured in the upcoming film King Arthur, starring Jude Law, so clearly Beckham is not hurting for opportunities!
in your own opinion,What do U think — would David Beckham make a good actor??
