Placed on a table next to her is a distinctive clunky Sky remote control, next to a rather older version used to operate her actual television. The photograph was taken on Friday during an official visit by the New Zealand Prime Minister, John Key, who was in the country to watch his national team play in the Rugby World Cup Final.

Social media rumors were taken far too seriously this weekend, as word spread around the globe that Snapchat’s recent privacy policy update gave the company ownership over user content, which includes photos, videos, and text messages. The rumors were picked up by publications that included The Telegraph and The Sydney Morning Herald. Snapchat addressed the rumors in fairly plain language this morning with a statement assuring that its users retained control over their content.
In the statement, Snapchat assured users that they were not storing user content indefinitely.
“The Snaps and Chats you send your friends remain as private today as they were before the update,” the statement read. The company further elaborated that while messages were deleted from Snapchat’s servers after viewing, the company had no control over screenshots or pictures taken by their recipients.
It’s worth noting that the updated terms of service were far from ambiguous when it came to content rights, which just shows you the power of unsubstantiated internet rumors.

Historical: Episcopal Church appoints first black leader in the United States

Presiding Bishop Michael Curry, installed Sunday as the first black leader of the U.S. Episcopal Church, urged Episcopalians to evangelize by crossing divides of race, education and wealth.
Curry used the example of his own mother being given Communion at a white Episcopal parish before desegregation, and how that act persuaded his father to join the denomination, and eventually become a priest.
During his speech,He revealed"God has not given up on the world and God is not finished with the Episcopal Church yet," Curry said, during a joyous ceremony in the Washington National Cathedral

Funny: a Brazilian man pranked into suncream a woman's bare back and was shocked when she turns over to reveal more than they bargained for

The footage, which was shot by Brazillian prankster David Mafra, shows a pretty young woman wearing a skimpy bikini asking a series of men to apply some suncream to her back as she sunbathes on the beach. Most of the men clearly can't believe their luck and begin vigorously rubbing the suncream into the young woman's back. Margaret Thome Bekema who would have walked with the Catholic Central High School class of 1936 in Grand Rapids, had to drop out in her junior year to care of her cancer-afflicted mother.

Facebook Strives to Bring Cheap Wi-Fi to Rural India

In a bid to boost the government's ambitious 'Digital India' drive, social media giant Facebook has come forward to facilitate state-run BSNL in setting up 100 wi-fi sites in rural areas of western and southern India.
Facebook will spend Rs 5 crore per annum for sponsoring these 100 wi-fi hotspots in the country.
According to editor's report,"Facebook has partnered with BNL to sponsor 100 wi-fi hotspots in villages across west and southern India. They will pay Rs 5 lakh for BSNL bandwidth for each hotspot per annum," BSNL Chairman & MD Anupam Shrivastava told PTI.
According to a recent report,icon360blog learnt the hotspots are being set up by BSNL selected vendor Quad Zen...
"We have already set up 25 hotspots under the agreement. Facebook is only sponsoring them and not taking any revenue share. Quad Zen will set up these hotspots and handle sales. and that,There is revenue share model between BSNL and Quad Zen," Shrivastava said

According to source,the Russian jet which crashed in Sinai killing all 224 people on board did not lodge an SOS call before it hit the ground, it has emerged. Egypt's civil aviation minister Hossam Kamal said there was also not believed to be any faults with the aircraft prior to the crash taking place. It came as harrowing images of the mangled wreckage (centre) were released by the office of Egyptian Prime Minister Sharif Ismail, who visited the crash site in the Sinai Peninsula. Pictures have also emerged of some of those who lost their lives, including Yury Shein with his daughter Anastasia (bottom right), and Tatiana Gromov and her husband Aleksei (top right). Meanwhile, officials have recovered the Airbus A321's black box, which is now being examined by experts to determine the cause of the disaster. The Islamic State group affiliate in Egypt has claimed it downed the aircraft, but has not said how it might have done so, they also released a video claiming to be of the moment the plane was shot down (left) but it cannot be verified.(mailonline)

Tattoo fans show off their extreme bodywork at international festival in China

Tattoo enthusiasts attended the annual international show in Nanning, China, a three-day event which brings body art aficionados together from all over the world. Contestants posed in underwear as they showed off their colourful designs on various parts of the body, while spectators gathered to take pictures. The festival also gave tattoo artists the chance to exchange skills and work on new designs. In past shows more than 100 top tattoo experts have travelled from different countries, including France, Germany and the United Kingdom to attend the annual event.

70 blood-splattered hostages are freed from the clutches of ISIS by US special forces in Iraq

Dramatic footage has emerged which seems to show the join Delta Force and Kurdish peshmerga raid on an ISIS compound in northern Iraq (left and right) during which Master Sgt Joseph Wheeler (inset) was shot dead. The video, shot from the helmet camera of one of the soldiers, shows a group of around eight men moving room to room through a compound which has a large ISIS flag hanging on the wall. The group appears to be a mix of American soliders and Kurdish troops, as they can be heard talking in both English and Arabic. While gunfire can be heard during the footage, the moment where Wheeler is hit is not shown.
